From Ocean Depths to Engineering Desk – Meet Anas Pranowo

Some careers are chosen; others are a calling. For Anas Pranowo, a love for the water started early – snorkelling, scuba diving, and exploring beneath the waves. That passion led him to become a commercial diver, working hands-on in marine civil construction. But his journey didn’t end there. Driven by a desire to push boundaries, Anas transitioned from the depths to the design desk, pursuing engineering to bring technical expertise to the projects he once worked on firsthand.

Today, Anas Pranowo is a specialist in designing safe and efficient underwater work solutions. His recent project involved creating temporary works arrangements for divers operating in areas with dangerous marine life. Anas’s firsthand diving experience gives him a unique edge, ensuring practical, real-world solutions that keep teams safe and operations efficient.

One of his most rewarding projects was the Ampol jack-up piles project, a dive job that tested both skill and endurance. From underwater inspections and rigging to concrete breakout and crane operations, it was a challenging yet thrilling experience that reinforced his passion for marine construction.

When he’s not engineering innovative solutions, Anas embraces adventure on land – riding motorcycles, off-roading, camping, fishing, and playing sports. Pushing limits and taking on challenges is just part of who he is, whether on land or beneath the sea.
